This Saturday, March 2nd marks the beginning of expanded weekend and holiday service on Tri-Rail. Weekend and holiday service will go from trains every two hours to hourly. In addition, the last night train (northbound and southbound) will leave about an hour later. Three weekday trains will have very minor schedule adjustments to improve on-time performance. This is great news and seeing how packed weekend trains can be on Tri-Rail, it’s definitely needed.
Changes starting March 2nd, 2013:
- Weekend service is expanding from 16 daily trains to 30 daily trains.
- Weekend service is going from every two hours to hourly.
- Northbound weekend service from Hialeah Market Station begins at 5:20am hourly, with the last train leaving the station at 9:45pm. Previously, the last train left at 8:33pm. This means Broward and Palm Beach residents can spend an extra hour in the Magic City before heading home. Sweet!
- Southbound weekend service from Mangonia Park Station begins at 5:50am hourly, with the last train leaving the station at 9:00pm. Previously, the last train left at 8:30pm.
Thank you Tri-Rail for providing great service!
